Derby, July 20: Brilliant knocks played by captain Babar Azam, youngster Haider Ali and by keeper Mohammad Rizwan has put Team White in control against Team Green on the third day of the Pakistan’s 4-day practice game at Incora County Ground, Derby on Sunday.
Team White were 245 for five in 77 overs when stumps were drawn on the third day.
Babar scored 58 off 122 balls, hitting four fours and a six, while Haider registered a 75-ball 51. The duo crafted a 50-run partnership for the third wicket.
Mohammad Rizwan, who scored an unbeaten 54 runs in the first innings, returned undefeated on 81 off 132 balls, laced with 12 fours.
For Team Green, Yasir Shah took two wickets for 52 runs, while fast bowlers Abbas, Faheem and Naseem grabbed a wicket each.
Earlier, resuming their first innings on the overnight score of 162 for five in 56 overs, Team Green added only 19 runs before being bowled out for 181 in the 66th over.
Asad Shafiq added one run to his overnight score before falling run out. His innings of 51 from 202 balls included five fours.
For Team White, Sohail Khan ended-up with figures of five for 50 runs, while Shaheen Shah Afridi grabbed three wickets for 33 runs.
Team White will start the final day’s play on Monday leading by 313 runs with five wickets in hand.
