The owner of the Pakistan Super League franchisee side Karachi Kings Salman Iqbal has said that Pakistan star batsman Babar Azam supported all-rounder Imad Wasim as captain of the side and agreed with the decision of the franchisee.

In a tweet posted by Pakistan top sports journalist Saj Sadiq, Salman was quoted as saying that franchisee wanted to keep continuity in PSL 5 and Babar agreed with that.

“For the first 3 years we were changing captains at the rate a batsman changes his gloves. The need was for continuity so we decided to stay with Imad Wasim as captain. We even mentioned this to Babar & he agreed this was the right way to move forward, ” Saj Sadiq quoted Salman Iqbal in a Tweet.

In another Tweet Saj Tweeted that Iqbal said Dean Jones was perfect choice as coach of the Karachi Kings.

“Dean Jones was the perfect choice for us & we took that opportunity with both hands. We felt he was in a unique position as a foreign coach whose knowledge of Pakistani players was as good anyone else, and he hasn’t disappointed in his debut season with us, ” Saj Sadiq quoted Salman Iqbal.

Pertinently play off matches of PSL 5 couldn’t be played due to global pandemic of Coronavirus.
