Srinagar, May 15: England leg-spinner Adil Rashid Friday remarked that owing to the current form, Babar Azam is better than Virat Kohli.
Babar has often been comapred to Virat, who is arguably the best batsman in world cricket today, as the Pakistan batsman is making marks with each passing match.
Asked to pick the best among Babar and Virat, Adil said that considering the current form the Pakistani cricketer is doing better.
“Ahhh… it’s a tough one. Well, it’s a tough one. So you got to go on the current form… I think I got to go for Babar Azam on current form. I am taking form here…I say Babar Azam is in better form so I picked Babar Azam. But they both are world class players anyway,” the leg-spinner, who won the World Cup in 2019, said during an interview with At the Crease TV, Times of India reported.
While Babar has been consistent among the runs in all the three formats, Virat has struggled a bit lately. However, as Babar is still a newbie compared to Virat, who among the two emerges on top will be seen in the future.
