Babar Azam eye another Virat Kohli record in T20I’s

Srinagar: Pakistan skipper Babar Azam roared back into form with a stunning century against England during ongoing T20 series.

With fourth T20I of the series set to be played, Babar Azam is on the brink of registering couple of more T20 records
The Pakistan star batter needs only 97 runs to become the fifth batter with 3000 runs in T20Is after Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Martin Guptill and Paul Stirling.

And if Babar gets those runs in his next two innings, he will become the fastest batter to reach the 3000-run landmark in T20Is.

Currently, former Indian skipper Kohli holds the record after achieving the milestone in 81 innings. The 33-year-old right-handed batter achieved the feat during India’s bilateral T20I series against England last year.

Babar currently holds the record for the fastest to 2000 T20I runs along with teammate Mohammad Rizwan. Both Babar and Rizwan got to the milestone in 52 innings.

Babar is set to play in the fourth T20I of the seven-match series on Sunday (today) at National Stadium in Karachi.
