Srinagar: Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi has rated current Pakistan captain Babar Azam’s cover drive and has termed as best.
Babar over the years has been hailed for the shot he plays with some big names of World Cricket terming Babar’s cover drive as best.
Recently in an television programe Shahid Afridi was asked to rate Babar Azam’s cover drive and the Former skipper rated it as best.
He was asked to compare Babar as shot with Virat Kohli and Steve Smith.
“Babar Azam, Virat [Kohli] and then [Steve] Smith,” Afridi replied.
“Babar plays a beautiful cover drive,” he further added.
Afridi on the occasion said that Babar Azam and Mickey Arthur are on the same page in terms of giving players an opportunity.
“We always talk about giving players a chance, and they have been given a chance. I think at the moment, Mickey and his management team are controlling all these things,” he said.
“Babar is also following what the management is saying at the moment because the World Cup is coming up, and we will have to make some experiments. Therefore, in my opinion, all the management, coaches, and captain are on the same page,” he added.
