Budgam, August 03: NCC Narbal Tuesday stunned star-studded Kashmir Strikers Sozeith in a low-scoring encounter in the ongoing Aspire Cricket Tourney at Narbal, here.
Batting first, NCC Narbal made below-par 121 runs. However, they came out to defend it bravely despite knowing the opposition is filled with star cricketers including Manzoor Pandav, Jiyaad Magrey, Aqib Mir, etc.
Their bowler-attack led by Gowhar bowled exceptionally, putting Strikers on backfoot from the word go. Surprisingly, they were bundled out on 87 runs, handing 34-run to Narbal.
Gowhar was the wrecker-in-chief as he scalped a 4-wicket-haul, earning him man of the match award.
This win meant NCC made it to the quarter-finals of the tournament.
