Srinagar: While J&K senior cricket team is struggling in Vijay Hazare trophy, its former skipper Parvez Rasool continues his excellent form in Sri Lanka.
Parvez Rasool who plays in Major League Tournament- Sri Lanka for Badureliya Criket Club has starred with both bat and ball in the ongoing match against BLOOM at Maggona.
Badureliya need 117 runs to win and they have five wickets in hand in the second inning. Parvez Rasool is unbeaten at the crease on 38.
BLOOM in first inning were bundled out for 120 run total courtesy Parvez Rasool’s six wicket haul. In reply Badureliya got all out for 122 in first inning. Parvez Rasool scored 24.
In the second inning BLOOM scored 240 run total. Parvez claimed 2 wickets in the inning. In its second inning at the end of days play Badureliya were 122/5 and still needed 117 runs to win. Parvez Rasool is unbeaten on 38 from 43 in which he has hit 4 boundaries and one six. Ayana Sirawardhana is batting at other end on unbeaten 60.
Parvez Rasool who has been sidelined by JKCA owing to politics has been in fine form all season. J&K team that is currently playing Vijay Hazare One Day tournament clearly miss his presence and experience. It is rite time for JKCA to recall him ahead of upcoming Ranji Trophy season.
