Ahmad Shazad refused Abu Dhabi T10 League contract for domestic cricket

Srinagar: Pakistan batter Ahmad Shahzad who is in the news for the excellent performnace during National T20 League has revealed that he refused lucrative Abu Dhabi T10 League contract for playing in the domestic cricket in Pakistan.

According to Shahzad he was offered to be part of the cash rich T10 League by Bangla Tigers but opted to play knockout stage of National T20 for Lahore Whites.

“I have respectfully refused a contract to play in the ongoing season of Abu Dhabi T10 League as I believe I have some unfinished business with my team Lahore Whites in National T20 Cup, and I want to carry on playing domestic cricket in Pakistan. I have always believed in putting Pakistan first, and I will continue to strive towards earning a place in the national team once again,” Ahmad Shazad posted on X.

Ahmad Shahzad has thanked PCB for issuing him NOC for the league but now he has opted to stay in Pakistan.

“Really appreciate TheRealPCB for granting me NOC for T10League, but I want to continue respecting our domestic cricket and set an example for youngsters watching me and others play in this tournament,” he said.

“I would also like to thank BanglaTigers for the generous offer and I feel honoured to have them acknowledging my domestic performances in NationalT20. Thank you and best wishes for the tournament AbuDhabiT10,” he added.
