Afghanistan star Rashid Khan returns home after 4 years

Srinagar: Aftet a four year gap, Afghanistan star cricketer Rashid Khan returned to his home Country of Afghanistan was greeted by the cricket board on his arrival to Kabil.

As per report Rashid Khan has been unable to visit the Country in recent years due to his hectic schedule and engagements in various cricket tournaments.

Rashid arrived in Kabul after participating in the IPL 2024 for the Gujarat Titans. He was greeted at Kabul International Airport by the Chairman of the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) and several players, report said.

“It is planned that he will travel to the West Indies in the coming days for the venue of the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup matches. This follows Rashid Khan concluding his tenure with the Gujarat team and returning to his homeland,” report said.

On Thursday, May 16th, the Afghanistan national cricket team set off for the West Indies to compete in the ICC T20 World Cup.

Their first official match is scheduled against Uganda on June 3rd, followed by matches against New Zealand, Namibia, and the West Indies.
