ABP Network set to unveil ‘Virat Cup’ for exclusive World Cup coverage

Srinagar, May 21: ABP News Network is all set to unveil a ‘unique’ series called ‘Virat Cup’ to bring out exclusive coverage from England during the upcoming cricket World Cup.

The former Indian captains, Kapil Dev and Virendra Sehwag are going to be the experts of the series and will keep Indian audience updated with the several angles related to the mega tournament from ground zero.

Apart from regular match related content, the initiative will concentrate on unveiling some of the lesser known artefacts and behind the scene moves.

“The series (Virat Cup) will have association with veteran cricketers – Kapil Dev and Virendra Sehwag as cricket experts.” A statement released by ABP Network read.

The shows will be aired exclusively from Old Trafford, Manchester and London with Kapil Dev sharing his inexpensive experience. The World Cup winning captain will also throw light on his journey of lifting the cup in 1983.

“There will be exclusive shows in Manchester and London. Mr Kapil Dev will be travelling to the extraordinary stadium in London and will re-live the three decades old World Cup spectacle with the trophy.” It said.

The media house also aims to set new standards when the World Cup gets underway at England from May 30 onwards.

“ABP News network will make the experience of world cup a larger than life spectacle in association with cricket legends Kapil Dev and Virendra Sehwag.” The report read.

All the ten participating teams have announced their preliminary World Cup squad. Meanwhile, Team India is unlikely to make any changes to the already announced squad as chief selector MSK Prasad cleared Kedar Jadhav’s presence in the all-important event.
