In the second semifinal of Asif Memorial Wullar Premier League, Cemtec Stars defeated Sopore Cricket Academy to book its place in final at Sheikh Ul Alam Stadium Tarzoo Sopore on Tuesday.
Batting first, SCA scored mere 113 runs in the allotted 20 overs with the help of some cameos from Umair 34 runs and Mansoor 22 runs. For Cemtec Stars, captain Suhail Andleeb took three wickets, Aaqib and Shahruk shared two wickets each.
The target seemed too little for power packed Cemtac Stars as they chased it down in 15 overs for the loss of 5 wickets with Kamran, Aaqib and Waseem scoring 20 runs each. From SCA, Mehraj snapped three wickets. Suhail Andleeb was adjudged as Man of the match for his figures of 4-0-15-3.
With this victory, Cemtac Stars made it to the finals of the tournament and will face Baba XI in grand finale.
