Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council kick started basketball tournament today at Indoor Sports Stadium that is being organised by Sports Council in collaboration with Srinagar District Basketball Association.
Organizers of the tournament said that 15 teams in both categories of boys and girls are participating. During the first day of the tournament, four matches were played.
In the first match DPS Srinagar Girls defeated Green valley Girls. And In the second match, DPS Srinagar Boys defeated Kashmir Valley School. Similarly, in the third match, Biscoe Boys defeated Green valley Boys and while playing fourth and the last match of today, Mallinson Girls defeated Kashmir Valley Girls.
Secretary Sports Council visited and interacted with the players and ensured them of holding such tournaments in future also.
Meanwhile, the rest of the matches will be played tomorrow. The tournament is sponsored by sports council in collaboration with Srinagar district basketball association.
The tournament will run from 02nd May to 5th May.
