Real Kashmir FC’s Winless Run Continues After 0-1 Home Defeat to Namdhari FC

Srinagar, March 25: Real Kashmir FC slumped to another disappointing result as they suffered a 0-1 defeat to Namdhari FC at the TRC Stadium, extending their winless streak in the Indian Football League 2025-26 season.

The loss leaves the Snow Leopards rooted near the bottom of the table with just two points from five matches, raising serious concerns over what could turn into their worst-ever league finish.

The game remained tightly contested in the first half, with neither side able to dominate possession. Set-pieces provided the primary threat, but clear-cut chances were rare.

Real Kashmir came closest before the break when Ahteeb Ahmad Dar’s acrobatic bicycle kick was dramatically cleared off the line by Karan Kumar Sharma, keeping the scores level.

The hosts showed more urgency after halftime, with Shedrack Charles striking the crossbar in what proved to be a turning point.

The decisive moment arrived just after the hour mark when Seilenthang Lotjem finished clinically from close range, converting a precise cross from Manbir Singh to hand Namdhari FC their first win of the season.

Despite late pressure, Real Kashmir failed to find an equaliser, with Namdhari goalkeeper Niraj Kumar delivering a standout performance to secure the win.

Winless Streak Deepens Crisis

Real Kashmir FC are now without a win in five matches, a worrying trend that is beginning to define their campaign. The inability to convert promising spells into goals has become a recurring issue.

With the team struggling at both ends of the pitch, the current trajectory puts them at risk of recording their poorest finish in league history, unless results improve quickly.

Namdhari FC Show Defensive Resolve

Namdhari FC, guided by head coach Harpreet Singh, showcased strong defensive organization and composure under pressure.

Their ability to absorb sustained attacks and capitalize on key moments proved decisive, lifting them to mid-table and boosting confidence for the remainder of the season.

What Lies Ahead for Real Kashmir FC

With the season slipping away early, Real Kashmir must urgently find solutions:

Improve finishing in the final third
Convert home advantage into points
Balance youth development with experienced stability

Failure to respond could see the club endure a historic low in league standings, overshadowing its long-term vision.
