Srinagar: The third season of the Bijbehara Premier League (BPL) was inaugurated on Thursday with Elegant Strikers defeating Kanwal Tigers at Higher Secondary Ground Bijbehara, Kashmir, J&K.
In the match, Elegant Strikers beat Kanwal Tigers by 39 runs. Batting first, Elegant Strikers made 192 runs for the loss of five runs. Khalid Khan scored 54, Owais Shah scored 48 and Aakash Ayub scored 46. Irfan took three wickets for Kanwal Tigers.
In reply, Kanwal Tigers managed to score only 153 runs for the loss of nine wickets.
Mohammad Asif Mansoori scored 43 while as Adil Qayoom scored 36. For Elegant Strikers, Furqaan took four wickets while as Nadeem Bhat took three.
Owais Shah was awarded player of the match award. The man of the match was presented by Farooq Amin of Kanwal Group of Industries.
