Srinagar: Madhya Pradesh on Sunday created history by defeating Mumbai by six wickets to clinch their maiden Ranji Trophy final.

Chasing the modest target of 108, Madhya Pradesh reached the total with six wickets in the hut. Rajat Patidar remained unbeaten on 30. Earlier today, Kumar Kartikeya’ (4/98) helped Madhya Pradesh to restrict Mumbai to 269 runs.

As they completed the victory, MP coach Chandrakant Pandit, was flooded with memories (not happy ones), which he hasn’t been able to erase for over two decades and despite winning five trophies as a coach.
