Srinagar, June 8: The District Pencak Silat Championship Bandipora 2022 and District Rugby Championship Bandipora 2022 was being organised by their respective Associations under the aegis of Pencak Silat Association J&K.
The opening ceremony was held on 7th of June, 2022 at Dawar, Gurez Bandipora. These Championships were inaugurated by Col Abinav (9 Rajput) and Sub District Magistrate Gurez, Bandipora.
Around 18 teams both Boys and Girls in different categories participated in District Rugby Championship and nearly 260 students, athletes from different age groups Which includes Pre-teen Boys & Girls, Sub-Junior Boys & Girls and Senior Men and Women players participated in District Pencak Silat Championship Bandipora 2022.
Students, Athletes from far flung areas like Kanzalwan, Baktoor, Tulail, Badugam, Markoot, Dawar also participated in this event .
This event was supported and welcomed by people of Gurez Valley and became colourful event in the middle of beautiful mountains.
