Panjipora, April 19: In the third Quarter-final match of the ongoing Super 24 Knockout Cricket Tournament Panjipora, Hajin XI defeated Dadoo Rangers Baramulla in a close contest by 12 runs.
After being invited to bat first, Hajin XI posted a total of 165/8 on board in alloted 20 overs. Jahangir was the top scorer with 56 runs while as Waseem added quickfire 39 runs in 14 balls. Muntazim, Hazim, Mansoor and Umar shared 2 wickets each for Dadoo Rangers.
Chasing the target, Dadoo Rangers fought hard but eventually fell short of the target by just 12 runs(153/10 in 20 overs). Mohd Momin top scored with 40 runs to his name while as Atif Kabeer also added 20 runs. Naseer and Furqan took 3 wickets each and Waseem and Sohail also bagged 2 wickets each for Hajin XI.
Waseem Akram was declared as player of the match for his brilliant all-round perfomance.
