Cyclist Akbar Khan completes PhD on topic related to Indian cyclists

Srinagar, February 19: Kashmiri Akbar Khan has been declared qualified for the award of Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physical Education and Sports by the Shri Vanketshwara University.

Akbar, who has been in cycling for more than 12 years, worked on the topic ‘study on selected anthropometric and psychological variables among different categories of Indian cyclists’ under the supervision of Prof. Dr Sangeeta Gupta.

Akbar has won two gold medals at national level.
Besides several national championships, he has won two gold medals in All India inter-university cycling championship as well.
