Wathoora, February 17: In the first semi-final of Big Bash Cup Wathoora on Thursday, Masood XI defeated Mudit Mavericks in a nail-biting encounter by 6 runs and book their place in the finals of the tournament.
Electing to bat first, Masood XI managed to put on par score of 124 runs on the board in their allotted 20 overs. Mansoor was the main contributor with 58 runs to his name. Imtiyaz Bagged 3 wickets for Mudit team.
Chasing the small target of 125, Mudit Mavericks managed to put up a decent fight but fell short of the target by 6 runs(118/9 in 20 overs). Riyaz top-scored with 36 runs while as Lateef took 3 wickets for team Masood.
Mansoor was adjudged as player of the match for his brilliant batting performance.
