Sopore, November 26: Bariz Ayoub and Basit Dar Friday ensured Victoria Baramulla makes it to the final of Champions Cup 2021 as they beat Zaingeer Reds by 26 runs in the semis.
Batting first, Victoria posted a dominating total of 196 runs on board. Basit Dar made 70 in 43 balls while Bariz Ayoub struck fiery 34-ball 60 runs. For Zaingeer, Umer and Kaysir picked two wickets each.
In reply, Zaingeer batters struggled to get going, thanks to some good bowling by Baramulla bowlers. Aadil Ahmad Malik made 57 runs in 33 balls while Basit Pandith also contributed 19-ball 30 runs.
Zaingeer, lastly, fell short by 26 runs. Shafqat picked two wickets and Junaid Dar also bowled a brilliant spell, conceding only 16 runs in his 4 fours with a wicket to his name. Victoria will now face rival BCC in the finals.
Bariz, for his quick knock, was adjudged player of the match.
