Srinagar, October 23: J&K woman under-19 cricketer, Bawandeep Kaur, has been selected to play in the upcoming U-19 Women’s Challenger Trophy to be held in Jaipur.

Kaur, a right-handed batter, played some fine innings in the U-19 Women’s One-Day tourney, earning her a place in this premier tournament.

She made 186 runs and stood at 11th position in the highest run-getters in the tournament.

Expressing joy on her selection, Kaur said:

“I’m delighted to know that I’ve been selected. I will try my best,”

Bawandeep now aims to make most of this opportunity to make it to the higher level.

“I have always dreamed of playing for India and I’ll be keen to perform well and impress the selectors,” she said.

Bawandeep is the only J&K woman cricketer to get a call-up for this tournament.
