Former Chief Minister and MLA Beerwah Omar Abdullah has hailed the performance of International cyclist, Muhammad Akber Khan in the Chandigarh Cyclothon.
Akbar Khan, whom NC leader Omar Abdullah gifted a cycle won third position and cash prize of rupees 45, 000 in the Cyclothon race held on Sunday.
Omar on Sunday, re-tweeted, well done Akber on a tweet posted by 92.7 Big FM relating to third place finish by Akber in Cyclothon.
Omar had donated Akbar Khan a professional “Merida Reacto” 5000 bicycle worth Rs 2.8 lakh in June 2016. 
“Despite hardships he managed his way into International arena and he deserves all possible support and encouragement,” Omar said on June 13, when he donated the cycle. (Source Greater Kashmir)
