Srinagar, June 18: After heated argument and a clash during Pakistan Super League ( PSL) match , former Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed and Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi have patched up and the pacer has said that Sarfaraz was ans will always remain his captain.
The clash between two Pakistan stars during Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators match has been hogging the limelight for all the wrong reasons .
While some have come in support or Sarfaraz , some are supporting Shaheen for his right to bowl a bouncer .
Now things have cooled up between the two stars who were in centre of the incident, Shaheen said he should have stayed quiet because of Sarfaraz Ahmed seniority and the fact that he has led the Pakistan side in the past.
“It’s all good bro. Whatever happened in the field it should stay in the field,” wrote Sarfaraz on Twitter.
Shaheen responded to the tweet in kindness and said “You are the star of Pakistan too,”
“May Allah give you more success in life. You are [a] little brother to me. All is well,” said Shaheen.
“Saifi bhai is the pride of all of us. He was and will always remain a captain for me. Whatever happened in the game that day was heat of the moment. I should have stayed quiet in respect of him. I have always respected my seniors and pray and wish the best for Sarfaraz,” said Shaheen Afridi.
It all started after a sharp bouncer from Shaheen crashed on Sarfaraz’s helmet . There was a heated exchange of words after the delivery and the on-field umpires as well senior players had to calm things down.
“You see Ramiz bhai, it’s part of the game. Even I don’t wish for someone to hit me for a four, so in the game, this is what a fast bowler’s aggression looks like,” Afridi said in the post-match interview.
