T20 Trials: Parvez, Paras, Khajuria dominate in first match

Jammu, December 28: All-round Parvez Rasool, Shubham Khajuria and Paras Sharma left a strong impression in the first trial match on Monday at GGM Science College Ground, here.

Parvez, first made unbeaten 31-ball 44 runs and then returned with the figures of 3-0-9-2, Khajuria scored 47* runs off 24 balls and Paras Sharma struck fiery 56* runs in 25 balls.

Earlier, batting first, Parvez Rasool XI made huge 218 runs in 24 overs (as some players hadn’t got a chance, the overs were exceeded). Apart from Khajuria and Parvez, Ahmad Banday also scored 37 runs in 24 balls without getting dismissed.

For Shubham Pundir XI, Nihaal Khajuria was the wrecker-in-chief as he scalped a brace while leaking meagre 23 runs in 3.1 overs. Auqib Nabi also picked a couple of wickets.

In reply, Shubham Pundir XI could only make 131 runs with Paras remaining the top-scorer 56* (25). For bowling side, Parvez Rasool and Amir Aziz finished on top, taking two wickets each.
