Promising Kashmir cricketer dies of cardiac arrest on field

Budgam, August 31: A promising cricketer from Budgam Sunday died of cardiac arrest on field in Khan Sahib town, here.

Identified as Aijaz Ahmad Mir, 30, from Kremshore Budgam was playing a local cricket match when he suddenly fell on ground in the midst of a run, reported KDC news agency.

After falling unconscious, he was shifted to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Aijaz had suffered a heart-attack.

Aijaz is said to be a known cricketer in the area and people in the locality, according to KDC report, have expressed shock on his sudden demise.
