Srinagar, August 17: Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) Monday issued a notice, asking registered players to submit their original Date-of-Birth (DOB) certificates in a week’s time.
Apart from cricketers of all age-groups, those of senior team (Ranji Trophy), including both men and women players, also need to submit the certificates.
The notice, accessed by Kashmir Sports Watch, read that those who fail to submit the DOB and were later found guilty of fudging age will face lifetime ban.
The players will have to submit the certificates in JKCA Office, Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium, Srinagar.
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had earlier issued guidelines for age and domicile fraud, providing amnesty scheme to cricketers with fudged birth certificate.
