The all-round batting and bowling display by Junaid Ahmed lead Handwara Sports to a 7 wicket win over Magam Lions in the match of the 2nd T20 Super Cup Palhallan-2019 at Palhallan on June 27.
Earlier Magam Lions won the toss and decided to bat first. Magam Lions were reduced 13/3 courtesy feiry spell of bowling by Saleem. Muzamil was the only batsman for Magam Lions who reached double figures by scoring 27 runs. For Handwara Junaid Ahmed took 4 wickets in his spell conceding just 12 runs while as Saleem took 3 wickets in 3 overs by conceding only 3 runs. Magam Lions got bundled out for 73 runs.
In reply, Handwara Sports top 3 batsman departed with just 6 runs on board. It was again Junaid Ahmed who came to their rescue, scoring unbeaten 53 runs while as Aqib scored 15 runs. They chased down target of 74 runs in 11.2 overs for the loss of 3 wickets.
Junaid Ahmed was adjudged man of the match for his all-round performance.
