Jammu, May 21: A 60-run knock by Faizan Mir on Tuesday steered Emerging Cricket Club to win against Spartan Club in the ongoing JKCA-organised Talent Hunt tournament at GGM Science College, Jammu.
Batting first, ECC did well despite wicket not having much to offer for the batsmen. Faizan Mir particularly, paced his innings quite well, helping his team post a total of 160 runs in the allotted 40 overs.
In reply, Spartan side found themselves in deep trouble from the very beginning. They lost early wickets while the middle and lower order couldn’t respond either.
Lastly, ECC bundled them to run home with a win. Faizan had scored a ton in the previous match as well, following which ECC qualified for the second round.
