Srinagar: Amir Aziz took the last wicket of Goa inning as JK scripted a 116 run victory in its Ranji trophy match at Surat on Saturday.
Last wicket stand of Goa delayed the inevitable but it was not too late in the day as JK beat Goa by 116 runs. Amir Aziz clean bowled number 10 batsman Felix on 22 run to wrap up Goa inning on 293. Dubashi remained unbeaten on 78. The last wicket stand between Dubashi and Felix was of 63 runs.
Earlier Parvez Rasool completed first five wicket haul of the season as JK closed on to big Ranji trophy tournament victory against Goa.
At Tea, Goa were on 276 runs for the loss of 9 wickets still trailing by 136 runs. Parvez completed his five wicket haul by taking wicket of Amulya who scored 20.
Goa that started day on 22 without loss are 145 with five wickets down, still trailing by huge 266 run deficit. First Goa wicket fell on 87 , that of Misal grabbed by Samiullah. Kamat was next to fall getting out to Parvez Rasool.
Parvez again was involved in the dismissal of crucial wicket of Asnodkar as he made run out Goa’s batting backbone on 47, with Goa total on 116. Before that Amir Aziz bagged wicket of Among Desai. Parvez bagged his second by getting wicket of Bandekar. Umer Nazir took 6th wicket of Goa inning that of Dubhasti. Parvez then joined the act again trapping Jakati and Yadav LBW. It was his 3rd and 4th wicket of the inning .
