With Mumbai Indian’s almost out of game while chasing a big total against Kings XI Punjab, entered the stand-in captain Kieron Pollard to play inning of his life in T20 cricket by leading his side to their third consecutive win in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019.
Pollard smashed 83 – his best-ever score in the IPL – as Mumbai beat Kings XI Punjab by three wickets at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday. KL Rahul had earlier scored a century for KXIP.
Promoting himself to number four after Mumbai were reduced to 57/2 while chasing 198 to win Skipper Kieron Pollard did impossible by carrying his team to win. It was six festival as Pollard hammered Kings XI Punjab bowlers to all corners of Wankhade Stadium. Pollard faced 31 balls to hammer 83 run knock in which he hit 10 sixes and 3 fours.
