JKCA to start registration of District Cricket Association’s

In a major development J&K Cricket Association (JKCA) is all set to start registration of District Cricket Association bodies across the State.

JKCA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Syed Ashique Bukhari issued notice to all the clubs of the State that they should form District Associations which in later would get affiliated with JKCA.

“The Amended Rules and Regulations of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association have been found to be inconformity with the recommendations of the Justice Lodha Committee as approved by the Hon’ble Supreme Court, a notice issued by JKCA reads.

“In view of the Amended Rules the membership of the JKCA shall inter-alia, consist of an authorized representative from each recognized District Association from all Districts of the State recognized by the JKCA. Recognized District Association shall be an Association of clubs of the game of Cricket from a District. Notice is given to all the Association of clubs of the game of Cricket in the Districts to seek registration as recognized District Association,” it further said.

JKCA kept registration of District Bodies as July 31 and has also made it clear that not more than one District Association would be registered in one district.

“It is notified that not more than one District Association shall be recognized by the JKCA from a District Associations seeking reorganization are required to furnish information’s showing compliance with the Rules and Regulations of the JKCA along with fee of Rs.5000/- (in shape of demand draft payable to JKCA) and a resolution from the District Association for recognition from the JKCA. The last date for seeking reorganization is 31st of July 2019,” it added.
