The lack of options for the grounds in Jammu city for J&K Cricket Association is hurting J&K Cricket Teams preparations.
As the weather has been hostile in Jammu with continuous rainfall from last four to five days, J&K Cricket team ranging from Under-19 girls, Under-23 men, Under-14 boys and senior T20 teams have been sitting idle in the hotel rooms. Even though the weather will improve the only available ground and option for JKCA, GGM Science College Ground looks in shambles.
JKCA Under-23 trials for shortlisted players is currently going on and so is Under-19 girls trials. However, from last few days no one has been able to do anything due to bad weather. The JK team T20 coaching camp was about to start yesterday but couldn’t start as the weather didn’t allow players go out.
Under-14 boys trials are about to start from Tomorrow but weather is still bad and the ground condition not suitable. It is about to be seen how JKCA goes about it.
JKCA over the years has failed to get its own facility in Jammu and also able to get one indoor facility for itself. The current JKCA regime is almost not reachable with one man at the helm of affairs. The current JKCSA administration needs to appoint the persons who can look after these small issues. One such issue is how Under-14 players will reach Jammu tomorrow for trials as road is still blocked.
