Parvez Rasool finishes 2018 as number one ranked all-rounder in India

J&K skipper and lone international cricketer from the state, Parvez Rasool on Tuesday bagged man of the match award in Ranji Trophy as visitors defeated Assam by four wickets at Guwhati, making him the top all-rounder of the year in India.

The right-arm off-spinner who bats in the middle-order for J&K has 680 runs and 31 wickets in 8 matches thus far in the Ranji Trophy 2018-19, which is most by any all-rounder in India. He stands number 11th in top run-getters chart while as owns a reputable place in the bowling stats as well.

Despite being out of national scenes for a long time, the 29-year-old has kept himself in the race. He on and off fights battles lonely for Jammu and Kashmir with both bat and ball.

According to reports, team India is expected to rest main players ahead of World Cup, so Parvez might soon get a place in the India team and hopefully he could showcase his skills this time around.
