Continuing with its sports for all policy the department of Physical Education of Islamia college Srinagar organised inter group football tournament for its enrolled football loving students at the college football field today. The first and the only match of the day was played between ICS Oranges and ICS Reds.
Both the teams scored one goal each during the alloted time. For ICS Oranges Burhan scored the first goal in 17th minute of the match Youhan of ICS Reds scored the equaliser in dieing moments of the match. The match was decided on the basis of penalty shootout in which ICS Oranges won the match by 3 goals to 2. Earlier the players of both the teams were introduced to Prof. Shamim Ah Shamim convenor college sports committee who expressed his satisfaction for the fact that boys have shown interst despite the Holy Ramzan. Tomarrow the second match of the tournament will be played between ICS Blues vs ICS Yellows at 10:30 am.
