Srinagar: The six day 17th UT J&K Wushu Championship 2023 concluded at MA Stadium Jammu on Tuesday.
Nuzhat Gul (Secretary JKSC) was the Chief Guest on the occasion, where as Ritu Singh, Mona Gupta, Vijay saraf (General secretary WAI), Bhavneet General Secretary WAJK were Guest of Honours.
While speaking on the valedictory function, Nuzhat Gul appealed parents to allow wards to choose sports.
As Sports teaches discipline, dedication, determination and above all learning from loosing.
In her speech she has recently approved 04 high performance centre for Wushu which will be equipped with latest equipments, Scientific Support and best Coaches. She also said that we should be the part of the campaign raised by Prime minister of India to make Bharat Nasha Mukht.
She congratulated Wushu Association of J&K for organizing mega event, involving 1200 players from 19 districts, 5 Khelo India Centres and J & K police.
Earlier Ritu Singh also thanked Wushu Association of J & K for organising 06 days long tournament and provide platform to the youth which is the necessity of the time.
Vijay Saraf (President WAJK) Presented welcome speech and briefed Guests and audience about the event. Later the guests presented medals to the winners, who sweated for the yellow medal during 6 days.
Jammu remained overall Champions, followed by District Srinagar 2nd and Khelo India centre Shopian secured 3rd.
Bhavneet Presented Vote of thanks at the end, she thanked J & K Sports Council for all help, all district unit heads and participants, Media and all who made the event successful.
