13 medals for Kashmiri boxers in State championship

Srinagar: 13 meadls were bagged by the Kashmiri boxers in the State boxing championship which was held at MA Stadium, Jammu from November 3 to 5. The event was organised by J&K Boxing Association.

In this event, boxers from Kashmir division who were trained by Sports Council bagged one gold, six silver and six bronze medals.

This is the first time that Kashmiri boxers have proven themselves in state championship said coach Farooq Ahmad.

The medalists include Arbaaz Mughal, wasid Lateef ,Adil Farooq, Shah Farman Gowher,Ahmer Farooq, Eyad Akeel Khan,Ayan Rasool,Mohd. Ali Mir, Usman Ali, Ziya Bashir ,Ajaz Ayoub,Adil Wani,Sheikh Azeem Basharat, Andleeb Zehra,Nadiya Nighat,Shabnam Malik. boxers

Rangil Singh EX. Education Minister and President of J&K Olympic Association was chief guest and he gave away the medals to winners.

The state championship was organised by J&K Boxing Association & Sponsored by J&K State Sports Council.
