10-yr old aspiring Baramulla footballer dies on field, JKFA condoles demise

Srinagar, July 17: A 10-year-old aspiring football player died of a major cardiac arrest on Friday morning in Ushkura area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

As per GNS report the youth Tawhid Rahim son of Abdul Rahim Lone a resident of Ushkura, suffered a major heart attack on the ground this morning, leading to his instant death.

Quoting eyewitnesses, the youth, part of a practice match, suffered the (heart) attack, soon after scoring a goal for his team.

Describing the deceased youth as a soccer enthusiast and aspiring player of the game, the locals said that “he (youth) even was member of a local club team ‘FC Dash’.”

Meanwhile J&K Football Association has condoled the demise of Tawhid.

“The President, members and the players of JKFA deeply mourn the sad demise of 10 year old Tawheed Rahim Lone, aspiring football player who has died of a Cardiac arrest on Friday Morning in Ushkura Area, Baramulla. His death has created a void which is difficult to fill. It is prayed to Almighty Allah to bestow peace upon the departed soul and give strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss, ” JKFA statement said.
