YSS organises annual athletic meet at Ganderbal

Gandebal Sep 16: The Department of Youth Services and Sports (YSS) organised an Inter Zonal District Level Annual Athletic Meet for Girls of All Age Groups (AAG) on Friday at Shiekh-ul-Alam Public School Ground Kangan here.

A total of 236 Girls from across the District participated in the mega sporting event.
District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Ganderbal Sheikh Shafqat Iqbal was the organising Secretary of the meet. He inaugurated & welcomed the guests and participants.
While speaking about the importance of such activities for students in particular he stated that when students are participating in any sports matches or competitions, then they need good teamwork, cooperation, and coordination. Learning these skills during sports activities also helps them in various phases of their life, like in academics or future careers.
