Young southpaw Yashasvi Jaiswal is all set to make his Test debut on Wednesday as India clashes with West Indies in the first Test at Dominica, confirms skipper Rohit Sharma.
While talking to reporters ahead of the match, Rohit also said that usual opener Shubman Gill will bat at number 3.
Earlier, there were speculations that Yashasvi will bat number 3 but with Rohit confirming Gill’s place, it means Yashasvi will open with Rohit in this game.
There are also reports suggesting that left-handed wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan will also make his Test debut tomorrow but there is no confirmation on that yet.
India is currently on a long tour to West Indies. The series begins tomorrow, July 12.
