Women’s College MA Road conducts trekking programe to Zabarwan Hill 

Srinagar: The Physical  Education  and Sports Department  of Government College for Women M A Road organised  One Day Trekking Programme cum Sanitation Drive for Girls to Zabarwan Hill (Juliet 3) on July 13 to develop mental and physical stamina of the students. 

Trekking also helps  students to enjoy the simpl e pleasure  of nature, lush greenery, a variety of trees and wild flowers growin g on the mounta in slopes, statement said.

A large number  of students  along with  Sports  Committee Members  participated  in  this trekking  programme.  

The  Trekking  programme  was  flagged  off  at  7:00 am  by  the Senior Faculty  member  of the college. 

During  the trekking programme,  the students got  familiarised  with  flora  of the  region  and  the  need  of  a  forestation  and  natural conservation.

The  event  concluded  successfully  due to  the  assistance  provided  by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Director Tourism, J&K Police Department and BSF Commanding Officer  and the Team.
