Srinagar, October 31: Bismah Hassan, Sheerazah Banoo and Sandhya Sunday ensured J&K makes it three in three as they beat Nagaland in the Senior Women One-Day Trophy at Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata.
Bismah picked a four-wicket-haul and made unbeaten 15 runs while Sheerazah struck 40 not-out.
Earlier, batting first, J&K posted 143 runs on board in the allotted 50 overs. Apart from Sheerazah’s 40, Nadia Chowdhary also scored 26 runs.
In reply, Nagaland had no answers whatsoever to J&K’s disciplined bowling attack led by Bismah Hassan. They were reduced to 13-5 before some partnerships helped them reach 84 runs, handing J&K a 59-run win.
Bismah (10-3-28-4), skipper Sandhya (8.2-0-15-3) and Sarla Devi (9-0-20-2) remained the top bowlers.
It was third straight win for J&K Women’s team in the tournament.
