Srinagar: Having suffered a heartbreak of not been selected for Team India Test team, Mumbai batter Sarfaraz Khan responded to another snub with another century in Ranji Trophy.
The young batter who has first class average only next to Cricket’s all time great Sir Don Brad man, has been in steller form in domestic cricket since 2019 but still has been overlooked by the selectors. He was also overlooked for the upcoming Australia series
On Tuesday Sarfaraz Khan slammed yet another ton in the Ranji Trophy.
The ton came in the match against Delhi and it is his third century in the ongoing season, as he led Mumbai’s recovery after they were reduced to 110/5. Sarfaraz reached the milestone on the final session of the opening day.
Sarfaraz’s knock received a special ovation from Mumbai coach Amol Muzumdar.
The coach removed his hat as Sarfaraz celebrated his ton with a loud roar, followed by his signature slap of the thigh celebration.
Sarfaraz finished as the leading run-scorer in the previous edition, having accumulated a staggering 982 runs from six matches.
