Srinagar, April 19: Kolkata Knight Riders coach expressed grief over Kashmir cricketer Rasikh Salam’s forced exit from IPL 2022, saying it was a big to the team.
Rasikh, who played two matches for KKR this season, was ruled out of the rest of the tournament due a lower-back injury.
In a video message by franchise, Brendon McCullum bid the youngster goodbye with a heartening message. He said that Rasikh would be an important part of the team in the future and they would take care of him.
Rasikh was bought by KKR at 20 lakh in the IPL auction. Earlier, in IPL 2019 he played for Mumbai Indians before facing a two-year ban for age-fudging.
