Southpaw Vivrant Sharma and brisk hitter Abdul Samad on Friday hit crisp fifties as J&K set a target of 180 runs for Punjab in the fourth T29 practice match at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium, Srinagar.
J&K batted first and got off to a good start but after Qamran Iqbal’s departure, Vivrant held the innings together. The left-handed batter scored 60 runs before being dismissed.
Then Abdul Samad came to the party and smashed quick 55-run knock to take J&K to 179-run total for the loss of three wickets in the allocated 20 overs.
Both Vibrant and Samad play for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL. Meanwhile, so far Punjab is leading the three-match series by 2-1.
