Srinagar, June 29: Former Team India all-rounder and current J&K cricket team mentor Irfan Pathan has termed Team India current skipper Virat Kohli as a true definition of a leader and he would love to play under his captaincy.
Pathan during his playing career has played under the captaincy of Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, MS Dhoni, Anil Kumble amoung others. However he said that he would love to be captained by a leader like Virat Kohli who backs his players to full.
“I don’t know if it would be fair to say in one line. I would have loved to play under Virat Kohli’s captaincy,” he said in an Instagram Live interaction with ESPNCricinfo presenter Raunak Kapoor.
“He is the kind of captain who backs his players, he goes out of the way to back his players. He is actually the definition of what a ‘leader’ is, he is a leader,” Pathan went on to add.
