Jammu and Kashmir’s Umran Malik was on Friday named in India ‘A’ squad for the upcoming one-day series against New Zealand ‘A’, which starts on September 22.
Umran was also a part of India ‘A’ multi-day squad for three-match series against New Zealand ‘A’. He played the second game and bowled a few overs but rain played the spoilsport, hence the match was abandoned.
The right-arm pacer is playing the third match too, which is still on. He bowled 10 overs in first innings, conceding 54 runs without taking a wicket.
The youngster would now be a part of the one-day squad too. He would be hoping to do well and get back into national team’s reckoning.
Meanwhile, he All-India Senior Selection Committee has picked India “A” squad for the upcoming three-match Mastercard one-day series against New Zealand “A” to be played in Chennai.
