U19 Women T20s: J&K faces third straight defeat, loses to Pondicherry

Jammu and Kashmir faced third straight defeat in the ongoing Women’s U19 T20 Trophy as Pondicherry pipped them by 3 wickets on Tuesday at Mulapadu.

Earlier, batting first, J&K continued its dismal show with the bat. They were bundled out on a paltry total of 54. Only Ananya Shamra (10 off 28) could score in double-figures while all other batters departed scoring in single digits.

For Pondicherry, Amruta picked up three wickets. All other bowlers were also quite good.

In response, J&K bowlers ensured they get off to a great start. Pondicherry lost 3 wickets at the score of 12. But opener Yuvashri held the one side.

She made 21 off 26 but after departure, wickets kept tumbling. However, at the end, Pondicherry successfully chased down the total in 16.2 overs with 3 wickets in hand.

Ananya Sharma, Maroof Anjum and Rudrakshi Chib took 2 wickets each for J&K.

J&K will next face Gujarat on Thursday.
