U-23 Cricket Tourney: Classy Zaid Muhammad slams ton, JK 214/2

Classy Zaid Muhammad Bhat slammed unbeaten hundred as JK posted 214 for the loss of two wickets on the opening day of the four day Under-23 Col CK Naydu cricket tournament against Assam at Goalpara Assam on Monday.

Zaid along with another unbeaten batsman of the day Shubham Pundir had unbeaten partnership of 150 runs between them. The inning played by Zaid and Shubham were of solid nature with both grinding Assam bowlers in tough playing conditions. Zaid scored 101 runs in 270 deliveries scoring 11 boundaries. Shubham was unbeaten on  71 off 182 deliveries which included six boundaries.

Earlier last matches hero, Ahmad Omar Banday got out cheaply scoring only four runs while as Jatin Wadhwan scored 29. At the score of 64 runs JK had lost two wickets. At that moment Zaid and Pundir joined together and formed unbeaten stand of 150 runs.

The knocks played by Zaid and Pundir were of solid display of quality batting.
