Train with Best cycling camp concludes

The ‘Train with Best’ introductory cycling camp for the school going students concluded with race between the participants held at Gupkar road, here on Tuesday.IMG_1335

In the camp school going students, mostly hailing from Burn Hall School were trained in the basics of cycling by only International cyclist of Kashmir, Muhammad Akber Khan. At the concluding ceremony, Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Waheed ur Rehman Parra was chief guest while as secretary Youth Wing PDP, Arif Laigroo was the guest of honor. Among others present where veteran sports administrator Nisar Hussain and former national level athlete Gulzar Khan.

In order to keep the motivations going on among the trainees, race was held in which Basharat Ahad finished first while as Mujtaba finished second. Zaid finished third while as Zamin finished fourth. Yahya Nayeem Kanth finished fifth.

Prizes among the winners were distributed by Waheed ur Rehman Parra and Arif Laigroo. Speaking on the occasion, Parra said, “It is good idea and it will help us to ignite the flame of sports among our next generation. Our target should be to promote sports among school students and it is the only way through which we can produce stars at national and International level”.

Laigroo  said that he is happy to be part of the event in which children’s of different age are involved.

 “It is the step towards building better future and I am happy to be part of this from first day. I congratulate Akber and his team for coming up with this idea,” Laigroo.

Akber said that he will continue to train school going students and in coming time will involve students other areas and schools in the initiative.
