Srinagar: J&K Cricket Team suffered a huge 191 run defeat against Tamil Nadu in the match of Vijay Hazare Trophy on Saturday.
Earlier Jammu and Kashmir won the toss and opted to bowl first, and the decision worked well for them as Tamil Nadu lost two wickets wickets. However, after that Narayan Jagadeeshan and Baba Indrajith punished J&K bowlers to help Tamil Nadu post massive 353/6 in 50 overs. N Jagadeesan scored a fantastic 165 off 147 balls. Baba Indrajith scored 78 off 76. Mohamed Ali, R Sai Kishore and Vijay Shankar too chip in with handy late cameos to stretch TN’s score. Yudhvir Singh Charak is J&K’s best bowler with two wickets for 66 runs in 10 overs.
In reply J&K got all out for 162 run total in 36.3 overs. Shubham Khajuria with 45 run knock was highest scorer while as Aquib Nabi scored 38. Abdul Samad scored 25. For Tamil Nadu, Chandragiri Venkata took six wicket haul to bag player of the match award.
In J&K innings their were three scores of naught with captain Paras Dogra, Vivrant Sharma and Yudhvir Singh getting out for Zero.
J&K is winless so far in the event so far having lost two matches and one match was abondoned.
